We are here!  We've moved into our space in House A at Williston Central School...and with many hours spent planning, unpacking and organizing, we are finally getting ready for school to start!

Our "Hopes and Dreams" pre-school conferences will be held on Friday, August 27 in the classroom, and WCS will have an open house/scavenger hunt on Tuesday, August 31.

We can't wait for another great year together!

What's the matter?

We just finished up our science theme--States of Matter.  Students explored this topic through various experiments...finishing up with a favorite...making Oobleck!

presentations!

Students in Calliope 3-4 are presenting their research this week and next.  Each student selected a topic of his or her choice (think the funny bone, lava lamps, dachshunds and diabetes to name a few...), used the Big 6 model for research to ask questions and gather information about the topic, and write a four to five-paragraph report using the painted essay format.  Students are in the process of making kiva presentations to their classmates.  Bravo!
