We traveled to Barre yesterday to visit the Rock of Ages granite quarry. We learned the 3 minerals that compose granite: mica, feldspar and quartz. Does that make granite a rock or a mineral? Some pictures of our trip are posted below:
"This was unexpected!" announced Joe as he sauntered into the classroom Friday morning. It was a little out of the ordinary to see your teacher dressed in an apron and chef's cap, flipping pancakes on an electric griddle on the kidney table. We celebrated our hard work and the end of the NECAP testing with a surprise pancake breakfast in Calliope 3-4.
This is a first for me...I look forward to learning with your children!
Please leave a comment sharing what you'd like to see on our class webpage and blog. I would like this to be a tool for all of us to engage in our students' learning.
